During 2016, together with others, I prepared and presented a course entitled The evolution of property and how it rules the world — an introduction to political economy’.

It was organised by the Tshisimani Centre for Activist Education in Cape Town. Staff of the Centre and young activists from several community-based organisations attended.

The course extended over 31 classes, each of approximately 2 – 2½ hours. The class notes compiled from the preparatory materials are provided here, together with a list of Contents.

The course materials built upon those previously developed in 2009-2014 for classes of activists run by the Social Equality Leadership School (held mainly in Khayelitsha).
